Terms and Conditions

Signing up and paying for Base Medical Wilderness Medicine Courses through this site:

Janet Peterson is an independent certified Base Medical Instructor. She conducts the practical portion of the wilderness medicine courses. Once you have completed the online and practical portion of the course you will be issued a certification from Base Medical.

When you sign up for a course on this site you will be redirected to a payment (PayPal) site which will process payments. You will receive a receipt directly from the payment processing site to the email you provide. Once payment is received you will be sent a link and course code which must be used to register and enroll in the course you have signed up for. This link and code will be sent to the email you provided when signing up for the course.

Signing up and paying for CPR/AED and standard first aid courses:

Janet Peterson is an independent certified instructor for the Emergency Care and Safety Institute. When you sign up for a course on this site you will be redirected to a payment (PayPal) site which will process your payment. You will recieve a receipt directly from the payment processing site to the email you provide. Once payment is confirmed and received, you will receive CPR course information. Students are required to bring a copy of their receipt to class.

Refunds: Wilderness Medicine Courses:

We understand that you might change your mind. Fit 4 Health will refund the course fees minus the payment processing fees as long as you did not access the Base Medical online course site. We will refund 50% of the course fees (minus the payment processing fees) if you accessed the Base Medical online course site and started the course. We will not provide any refund if you accessed and completed the Base Medical online course work. In the case that you cannot attend the practical portion of the course, you will be provided a one year period to attend another Base Medical Practical day for the same level of course. A course refund will not be provided. To request a refund or defer your practical portion of the course use the contact us form on the Fit 4 Health website. Or email admin@fit4healthcoach.com

Fit 4 Health reserves the right to cancel a course at any time for unforeseen circumstances (ie. instructor illness, weather, etc). Students will be notified as soon as possible in the case of course cancelation. Students will be given the option to attend a similar course within one year of the original enrollment or offered a refund as listed above. All refunds will be reduced by the cost of the payment processing fees.

Refunds: CPR/AED/First Aid Courses

Refunds will not be issued for student no shows to CPR/AED and or First Aid courses. If you cannot attend the CPR/AED or First Aid course, Credit towards another CPR/AED or first aid course may be provided. The credit must be used within one year of the original class registration. Course credit requests must be emailed to admin@fit4healthcoach.

Payment processing fees will not be refunded.

Your status

By placing an order through our site, you warrant that:

you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts;

you are at least 18 years old (If you are less than 18 years old you may order through our site with parental permission.).
and that you are not resident in a country where making a payment to our site, in line with these terms and conditions would breach any laws in that country.

Limitation of liability

In no event shall Fit 4 Health , nor any of its officers, directors and employees, be liable to you for anything arising out of or in any way connected with your use of this Website, whether such liability is under contract, tort or otherwise, and Fit 4 Health , including its officers, directors and employees shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential or special liability arising out of or in any way related to your use of this Website.

Indemnification

You hereby indemnify to the fullest extent Fit 4 Health from and against any and all liabilities, costs, demands, causes of action, damages and expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising out of or in any way related to your breach of any of the provisions of these Terms.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under any applicable law, such unenforceability or invalidity shall not render these Terms unenforceable or invalid as a whole, and such provisions shall be deleted without affecting the remaining provisions herein.

Fit 4 Health is permitted to revise these Terms at any time as it sees fit, and by using this Website you are expected to review such Terms on a regular basis to ensure you understand all terms and conditions governing use of this Website.

Assignment

Fit 4 Health shall be permitted to assign, transfer, and subcontract its rights and/or obligations under these Terms without any notification or consent required. However, .you shall not be permitted to assign, transfer, or subcontract any of your rights and/or obligations under these Terms.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, including any legal notices and disclaimers contained on this Website, constitute the entire agreement between Fit 4 Health and you in relation to your use of this Website, and supersede all prior agreements and understandings with respect to the same.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oregon, United States of America and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Oregon for the resolution of any disputes.
